This discussion will be held by nurse practitioners, nurse leaders and Texas state representatives on racial disparities, microaggressions and racial bias in healthcare on July 22nd at 7pm central via zoom.

 We have noticed racial equity, health disparities, and microaggressions that are present in every area aspect of healthcare and we want to normalize discussion on these topics amongst healthcare providers.

 

 The purpose of this forum and discuss recommendations for healthcare providers. It is pertinent that we discuss those subtle comments or actions that often take place in the workplace that are discriminative. We are also seeking insight from multiple aspects of healthcare such as legislative, nurse practitioners, nurse educators, medical doctors and pillars within our community and nationally.
