The Children's Hospital Association (CHA), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) declared a national state of emergency in child and adolescent mental health. NAPNAP is also a partner.
In an effort to amplify the urgent mental health needs of children and adolescents, a national initiative called "Sound the Alarm for Kids." was formed - free for your use. You will have access to sending a downloadable email to your congressional representative, and downloadable resources including a toolkit. The initiative will run through 2021 and primarily focuses on urging Congress to take action to better support the mental health of kids and teens.
