AANP State Award for Excellence - Nominate a deserving candidate today!

Denver, CO
The Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses

Each year the AANP gives the opportunity to highlight two individuals who support the Nurse Practitioner role.

  1. NP State Award for Excellence is given to an NP in each state who has demonstrated excellence in clinical practice.

  1. The Advocate States Award for Excellence is given to an individual in each state who has made a significant contribution towards increasing awareness and recognition of NPs. Past recipients of the State Award for Excellence have been physicians, legislators, and educators. Nurse Practitioners are also eligible for the advocate award for non-clinical practice initiative related to leadership, precepting, policy, research, education, or community affairs.

Only one award may be given per category in each state. Groups and organizations are not eligible to receive these awards. The nominator must be a current individual AANP member to submit a candidate for a state award. However, the candidate does not have to be an AANP member. The deadline to submit nominations is September 9th

To submit a nominee, you can go to the AANP website or https://stateawards.aanp.org
