Alert! A new membership advocacy group has formed within the Veterans Affairs for all employed Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Penny Jensen, APRN, a  longtime advocate for the VA nurse practitioners shared this with us at AANP conference in San Diego. Florida has many nurse practitioners providing amazing care throughout the VA system in Florida, It’s good to see a strong  new NP advocacy group launching nationwide, and within our state. Clearly the VA model is what we in Florida seek for all nurse practitioners -  full practice authority. We have many NP members serving this population from the Panhandle to the Keys! Please share with your NP colleagues at the VA or your VA Nurse Practitioner provider at the VA!
