Controlled Substances Education Course

Advanced Practice Provider Executives, Inc.

Initially developed and launched in 2013, Advanced Practice Provider Executives, Inc. (APPex) is the largest provider of training and continuing education on controlled substances to PAs and NPs in California.

It allows PAs to write for controlled substances without patient-specific approval and satisfies requirements of Business and Professional Code section 3502.1(c)(2), under the California Department of Consumer Affairs, PA Board.

It allows NPs to order/prescribe/furnish Schedule II medications and satisfies the continuing education requirements of Business and Professional Code section 2836.1(g)(3), under the California Board of Registered Nursing (i.e., Schedule II).

Courses are offered monthly (Saturdays) online from 9AM - 4PM PT and award six (6) CE/CME credits (PAs: Category 1 CME).
