Dear Colleagues and Friends:

Now that the Summer is over perhaps you will once again direct some attention to our Legislative Agenda for 2009.

The complete agenda is outlined for your review on our website and numbers and supporters are listed. Our main focus, of course, is the Mandatory Collaboration and Reimbursement bills that are foremost on our minds as well as the other four that are long overdue.

The political climate is sending warm winds our way and we are at a defining moment in history that lends support to our cause. The entire nation is thinking about health care reform and although this is a national conversation any decision will affect the local level. Our state lawmakers are actively engaged in the dialogue and are ripe for some answers and solutions for our community. We need to tell them that we are part of the solution. We need to convince them that any barrier in our way needs to be eradicated. IF WE DON’T WHO WILL?

This is the time to take definitive action. The only ones that can influence their support is us. They are responsible to their constituency and the constituency is us.
