I hope you are all enjpying your summers!

We are in a break of dinner meetings until August 31, 2011. If you made it to the last dinner meeting, you would have found out that we will be raffling off 2 admissions to the 2012 National Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The conference will be held March 28-31, 2012. At this year's conference in Baltimore, we won best growth of a small chapter which gave us the 2 admissions for next year. If you would like to purchase tickets, you may do so by mail or in person at the next meeting. The tickets are $25 for 1, $40 for 2, $65 for 3 or $85 for 4. You may Mail a check to FL Chapter of NAPNAP, 69 Hilltop LN, Rockledge, FL 32955. Or you may pay in cash at the next meeting. 2 tickets will be drawn on Aug. 31, 2011 and presence is not required. Only cash and checks are being accepted for this raffle and proceeds will benefit our scholarship fund. Dr. Sokol pediatric infectious disease physician in Orlando will be the speaker at our next meeting. The location is yet to be determined.

I would also like to welcome Michelle Pedulla and Bonnie Lanternier as our Membership Chair and Scholarship Chair respectfully. It is with sadness that we must say good-bye to outgoing Chairs Janel Saunders and Angela Venezia. They have both served the board well over the past 6 years and they will be missed. We look forward to seeing them at future dinner meetings and conferences.

Next year's Florida pediatric NP conference will be held at the Orlando Science Center on Jan 28, 2012. This is a joint conference between the Florida and Gulf Coast Chapters of NAPNAP. We look forward to a 1-day conference at this interesting location and hope to see you there. We will have more information on this event in the months to come!
