Connecticut patients gain streamlined care with the passage of signature recognition bill. CT HB 5514 passed in the final minutes of the state legislative session last week, and now NPs can “treat the paperwork” for the care they already provide. The bill updated numerous statutes for NP signature recognition on documents related to the daily provision of care. These modernization efforts will streamline care for patients and make better use of the CT healthcare workforce.
