To the Members of NPAA:

The Physical Therapy access bills (competing versions) designed to increase access to Physical Therapists has been resolved/agreed to by all parties and HB 163 passed the Senate on 24 April and was signed by the Governor. NPs now will have referral authority for Physical Therapy.  Please check with insurance carriers of your patients prior to prescribing to make sure they will accept your referral and if they do not, send me any information about the refusal so that NPAA can begin contacting those insurance carriers that may need to make some policy changes so that our patients are covered!
