2012 Syracuse Chapter NPA President’s letter
Seems hard to believe that the summer is nearing to an end! We hope everyone has had a fun and relaxing summer. September our monthly meetings will be starting up again. Ann attended the NPA Leadership Meeting this past June, the NYS NPA now has a new network that they are using. We hope you all by now have had a chance to see and use it. If you have not already, please enroll. It is called the EPN network. This is how all communications will now be coming. There are weekly activity updates sent out. All of the Syracuse Chapter information will be at http://syrnpa.enpnetwork.com. It is at this website that the newsletters, dinner information, job posting etc will be posted. Watch for your weekly activity updates!
The NYS Fair is fast approaching it is from August 23 through September 3, 2012. We need your help as volunteer staff members at the NPA exhibit booth. It is a great opportunity for the NPA to educate the public about NP's, the excellent health care NP's deliver and all they do for the people of New York. Volunteers are only asked to staff the exhibition booth for one 4 hour shift. Each volunteer will receive a one day parking pass and admission to the fair, which will be mailed to you prior to the State Fair opening. You are free to explore the fair before or after your volunteer shift.
Registration is now open for the NYS NPA 2012 Annual Conference on October 17-21 2012 at Saratoga Hilton & City Center, Saratoga Springs, NY. Please visit the NYS NPA website for further information.
Hope to see you all at the September dinner meeting. Please look for further updates from your weekly activity updates, or sign on to the above website.
Thank you for your support,
