Volunteers still needed for the NYS Fair NPA Exhibit Booth
August 27 - September 7, 2015

Volunteer to help staff The NPA booth at the NYS Fair in Syracuse, NY!
Volunteers receive a free admission ticket and parking pass in the Orange parking lot on the date you volunteer. One free NPA t-shirt will be given to each volunteer.

Fair dates are August 27 - September 7, 2015. We are seeking 2 volunteers to fill the each of the four hour time slots over the 12 days of the fair:
• 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
• 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
• 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

You can help represent The NPA and make the nurse practitioner profession more visible to the nearly 1 million visitors who attend the Fair!

Spend some time before or after your shift to enjoy the fair. To learn more about the NYS Fair go to www.nysfair.org. There you will find information on directions, hotel partners, fairground maps, fair events, concerts and much more. Enjoy the last days of summer at the Fair and promote the nurse practitioner profession!

Have you heard the news?
The NPA is introducing a Regional Model with the goal of enhancing membership through increased continuing education opportunities, and improved communication between members and leadership. To accomplish this, the NPA is restructuring into 7 revised regions, each with their own Board of Directors (BOD). Initially, the BOD will consist of leadership from the individual chapters within the regions. This is a great time for members to become involved in their region, to have a say in how your membership in the NPA can best work to meet your needs. A letter was sent out to membership earlier this month to introduce the changes. Tune into fall programs to learn more about what this means for our region. See our website for details.
Fall programs include:
• Wednesday, September 16th 6-8 pm Astra – Zeneca Diabetes program
• Thursday, September 24th, 6-8 pm- Sanofi program on Diabetes
• September 3rd- October 4th, NPA State Conference, Niagara Falls, NY
• Saturday, November 14th, 2015, 8- 4 pm: Regional Conference at St. John Fisher College
