Professional Achievements:
Candice received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Alaska in December 2010 during which she was the recipient of the Spirit of Nursing Award. She worked as a certified oncology nurse for over 5 years before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science degree in Nursing with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alaska in September 2015. She was awarded the Evidence-Based Practice award for her project.
She is currently employed as an oncology and hematology Nurse Practitioner at the Alaska Native Medical Center where she provides care to the Alaska Native and Native American peoples.
Candice is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Clinical Oncologists, Denali Oncology Nursing Society, and Oncology Nursing Society. She has previously served as the secretary of the Denali Oncology Nursing Society.
Candice has resided in Alaska for over 20 years. In her spare time, Candice enjoys spending time with her husband, two cats, and two dogs. She also enjoys playing hockey, reading, and running.
