Virtues:
I am passionate about managing direct care based on advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning to incorporate health promotion and disease prevention interventions in health care delivery. The nurse practitioner must expresses human-centered care in authentic, therapeutic relationships responsive to the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of each unique patient. Important in patient care is the collaborative team effort. This helps deliver care tailored to the uniqueness of each patient and situation. As a provider, I am responsible for containing unnecessary costs and hold to prudent fiscal checks to balance costs to the patient, the health care institution, the community, and society as a whole. A nurse practitioner must continually improve and evolve by actively seeking skills and educational improvement opportunities through college, certifications, nursing journals, self-growth training, and continuing education classes.
