Favorite Thing About My Profession:
Currently I work as an APRN in the Primary Care/ Internal Medicine outpatient setting in a large health care system. I attended two intensive urgent care procedures workshops.
My acute care RN experience includes hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac/arrhythmia monitoring, intravascular vasoactive drips, sedation, pain medication, and blood product infusion; pulmonary/ventilator management; surgical pre and post-operative management; skin, wound, and infectious disease care; and the spectrum of laboratory, imaging, and procedural testing. My neuro/trauma specialty ICU experience includes but is not limited to the managing of SAH, IPH, aneurysm, epidural hematoma, infarct and thrombolytic reperfusion/INR protocol, NIHSS, assisting with ventriculostomy and lumbar puncture, and other complex procedures.
