1. Director, Hospice & Palliative Care Program: Responsibilities include building and sustaining a Program of excellence in caring for Seriously Ill and Terminally Ill Veterans and their families. The following programs and services are available to enrolled Veterans: * Palliative Care Consultation Team (PCCT) * Palliative Care Outpatient Clinics * Inpatient Palliative Care * Valor Way 12 Bed Hospice * Bereavement * VA Chairperson South Florida Hospice-Veteran Partnership: Partner agencies provide hospice and palliative care services to Veterans residing in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Glades, Hendry, & Okeechobee counties.
2. Director, Therapeutic Gardening Program: Responsibilities include building and sustaining an award winning, all volunteer, zero budget, interdisciplinary intergenerational program using a Whole Health modality of therapeutic gardening to enhance the mental and physical health and wellness of Veterans, Families, Volunteers, and staff. Since 2005 our program continues to blossom. Veterans, familes and staff enjoy the following gardens: * Freedom North Lakeside Garden * Freedom North Eastside Garden Thomas E. Skelly Memorial Pineapple Patch * LIberty South Therapeutic Sensory Garden *Hospice Meditation Garden *Domiciliary Hydroponic Garden (construction grant submitted)
