Professional Achievements:
I have been a licensed nurse for 28 years. Five years ago, I finished my masters and moved into the role of nurse practitioner. I have been in the medical field for a total of 33 years. I served in the US Army (active and reserve duty) as an OR Specialist in 1991-1998 until I was honorably discharged. I then received my LVN at South Plains College and have been furthering my education since. I hold a BA in Family Ministry from LCU in addition to my nursing degree. I moved to Austin in January of 2022, and began working at the Walk-in at The University of Texas in May of 2022. It has been the best work environment. I now plan to apply to the doctorate program in September and work towards my final educational goal.
Favorite Thing About My Profession:
Caring for others, teaching, making a difference.
Virtues:
I am hardworking, dependable, honest and loyal. I believe in quality patient care and will do whatever I can to care for my patients and advocate for them.
