Professional Achievements:

My professional achievements are two-fold in nature—both academic and professional. From an academic standpoint I have had the honor of receiving numerous awards including the Alumni Association Award and SON Merit Scholarship Award during my tenure at George Washington University. As an evolving nurse professional, I have had the opportunity to help organize a regional conference, serve as a member of several local nursing associations, and contribute to local efforts in promoting health equity through free clinics and health education in disadvantaged communities.

Favorite Thing About My Profession:

Nursing is an amazing profession because it allows me to have both a communal and one-on-one impact over the communities I am passionate about. That’s why my favorite aspect about nursing is the diverse opportunities that it provides for me to be able to influence. From providing high-quality patient care to effecting change through partnerships with local entities, the many doors that are opened as a nurse is a unique opportunity as a nurse.

Virtues:

As a dedicated healthcare professional, my virtues are rooted in service and compassion. I strive to reflect these virtues—along with patience, excellence, and commitment—throughout all my interactions with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders. As a proud mommy of three beautiful girls, I have learned to internalize these virtues on a daily basis, allowing me to be fully present when engaging with others on the field.
